From the Store Administration Page, scroll down to the Simple Catalog section and click on the Add button next to Products.

Enter your product name in the Name field, which will automatically generate a Slug in the form field below. The slug is what appears in the at the end of a website URL for that specific product page. Next, enter the position you want this new product in by entering a number in the Weight field. Remember you can always go back and reorder your products if you don't like the original position you chose. Enter the product description next in the Description field. You'll notice a checked box below the Description field that says Active. This means that when you hit save at the bottom of the page, your added product will be going live to your site immediately. If you do not wish for this to happen, feel free to uncheck it. You can always come back later when the product is ready to go live and check the box. You'll also need to upload a thumbnail of your product that you've prepared, or had prepared, at a size of 170 pixels by 150 pixels. (required fields are displayed in bold).

The following options are not required but can be helpful if you choose to use them. When you create a sku #, you associate a price with that product. If you'd like to show that your site is selling that product for less you can put in a Msrp or Original price and that price will be shown with a line through it, then the actual price your site is selling the product for. Meta tags are keywords and/or descriptions associated with your product that a search engine will use to find your website when someone searches for one of those key words or descriptions. So feel free to enter as many words as you want about your product here. The Meta description is the sentence or two that shows up in a search engine below the title of your site. Again, not required, but if you want to enter a custom description, you can do so here. The next two options pertain to the last section of this page. If your product comes in different sizes, colors or models you can specify that here.

Lastly, select the Sku and enter any options you may have entered above in the fields provided in the Product options section. Once you've selected all sku #'s associated with this product click the Save button at the bottom of the page. If you left the Active box checked, we recommend you visit your website and check to make sure you are pleased with your newly added product.
